Spiritual Gifts

I read my daily devotional from Proverbs 31. Spiritual gifts are the key to feeling accomplished.

I was inspired by her post and I wanted share. I'm now on a quest to determine my gift and perform great deeds within it. I feel confident in my gifts and there are so many ways to practice them.

Find a way to practice your spiritual gift in to workplace.

Find other bodies of Christ that share your gift and work together to make a big difference. One could create a foundation or form a group within your church.

I have always been unclear on my gift(s).  I went to www.spiritualgiftstest.com and learned my gifts were faith, administration, and wisdom/teaching. The test was lengthy but worth it.  The results seemed spot on.

YouTube Mavens

Watching tutorials on youtube is my new obsession.  I have learned so much from so many talented women.  There are a few women that I have been watching on a weekly basis.  There chanels are entertaining and informative.  Watching these ladies has given inspriation to try new things with make up, fitness, even crocheting.  Please check theses ladies  out!!!

Se is so personable.  She is like a friend in my head.  I find myself quoting makeup doll in my general conversations and when I refer a first time you tuber I normally steer them towards one of her viedos first.  SHe seems like such a nice person and I love how she keeps it real from start to finish.

Crochet Hooks You
I tried many times to learn how to do a new crochet project on youtube but I have not been that sucessful.  Watching her posh baby bootie video helped me create the most darling booties for my best friends babby girl.  She is really easy to follow and doesn't speed through stepps.  If you are a beginner to crochet then her chanel is the one for you.

Jill Cimorelli

I love this young ladies energy.  A lot of her videos are not relevant to me because I am out of school but that is just a testament to how good she is as what she does.  I still find myself glued to the screen as I watch her note taking and study skills video's.  Oh if only I had her video's in highschool I surely would have had a 4.0 :)

Fabulasityisme
I have long since been a lover of wigs.  I think I purchased my first one in 2012.  I use them to give my natural hair a break and to change up my styles.  This very talented youtube maven gives you cool easy turorials on how to make your own hair units that can be sewn on like a weave or used as a traditional wig.  I have made two of my own custom units based soley on the inspiration I got from this lovely lady.

Mean Green Smoothie

Got a great deal at Wal-Mart on a Ninja Juicer ($34.95)!!!  I began my complete juicing journey this week with a spinach based smoothie. I also got some good recipes from youtude.

 I feel full of health and that's the honest truth. You don't even taste the greens. I'm down one pound this week and the only thing that changed was I supplemented my diet with veggie based smoothies. My recipes are below (ignore the spelling errors).

Book Adventures

It is a book about a woman approaching the afternoon of life. I love how Jane Green's writing has evolved as I have gotten older. Her main characters have aged and are going through things that I can relate to. As I have grown so have her characters.

The book title kind of gives it all away for the reader. There is a female heroine as there generally always are in Jane Green books and she makes a huge decision that changes the course of her life hence the title tempting fate.

It is up to the reader to decide if she made a decision that is in her favor or not. I was surprised by this book as it veers a little off course of the general issues that face the female characters of her books. Normally they are the ones being hurt or changed in some way due to the actions of others. In this novel however the female lead is in a sense the "Bad Guy".

At first I was like no no no she is not supposed to be doing stupid things making rash decisions....... that is the man's job but as I continued to read I was pulled into this women's plight, her story, her mistakes. I normally become so close to the characters in her books it is like they are me however in this book I was perpetually like a outsider peering in on this women.

It was a unexpected page turner and my favorite author Jane Green does it again with Tempting Fate. I really enjoyed this book like I have every book that I have read of hers.

Corn soufflé

Ingredients

2 (15.25 ounce) cans whole kernel corn2 (15 ounce) cans creamed corn4 tablespoons white sugar

4 tablespoons all-purpose flour4 tablespoons milk

Directions

1.  Preheat oven to 350 degrees.

2.  Combine the corn, creamed corn, sugar, flour, milk and eggs. Mix well. 3.  Pour the mixture into a souffle dish.

4.  Bake at 350 for 1 to 1 1/2 hours.

Pantry Makeover

I have been nesting quite a bit today and after my weekly grocery run I decided to get my messy pantry together. It is by far a work in progress but I'm quite proud of how far it has come and excited for where it is going.

I organized the bins based on labels very specific to my families needs. I got the super cute bins from (drum roll please) "The Dollar Store"! I got the labels from worldlabel blog

I will update you with my progress when I'm finished with the pantry remodel. My next goal is to put up a cute background like the one at Landee See Landee Do Blog
